The Board Is Made Up Of 7 Members
The Board of Clinical Laboratory Personnel includes a clinical laboratory director, supervisor, technologist, blood gas analyst, or technician who performs or is responsible for laboratory test procedures; “Clinical laboratory trainee” means any person having qualifying education who is enrolled in a clinical laboratory training program and “Public health laboratory scientist” means any licensed director, supervisor, technologist, or technician engaged in laboratory testing of human specimens in a public health laboratory.

After the expiration of their term, board members can continue to serve until they have been replaced, reappointed, or resign.
The Board of Clinical Laboratory Personnel, composed of 7 members appointed by the Governor and confirmed by the Senate; 5 members shall be persons licensed under this part, as follows; at least 1 member a practicing clinical laboratory director; at least 2 members be practicing clinical laboratory supervisors; 2 members practicing clinical laboratory personnel and 2 members citizens of the state who have never been licensed health care practitioners and who are not, and have never been, licensed as clinical laboratory personnel and who are in no way connected with the practice of such profession.
